The formula relies on a base of organic aloe water, working in tandem with a super concentrated shot of seaberry fruit. The latter contains 50+ nourishing phytonutrients that help your skin glow, stay protected, and maintain its self-healing properties. This formula is product is cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan, and non-toxic, relying entirely on carefully developed plant chemistry.

Great for mature and aging skin as well as adolescent skin, this seaberry and aloe vera lotion works to visibly diminish dull skin and fine lines, which develop when skin lacks adequate moisture and hydration. In other words: it’s a multifunctional product that can benefit a wide range of skin types.

Ingredient Functions in the Seaberry Moisturizer

Our moisturizing seaberry formula contains a carefully selected blend of therapeutic plant botanicals, each of which addresses a different aspect of our everyday skin health.

The Base

Organic Aloe water makes up the base of this moisture-locking formula, and functions as the key hydrator and humectant. Aloe is made up of over 90% H2O, with the remaining percent consisting of over 200 nutrients that work to soothe and moisturize the skin. This includes selenium, a mineral that protects cells from damage by neutralizing free radicals and safeguarding cell membranes.

Aloe also includes zinc, a key mineral that helps to regulate oil glands for healthy lipid production. The long list of remaining vitamins and minerals in the humble aloe plant includes Vitamins B, C, E, and Folic acid – all essential nutrients required for healthy skin cell membrane function.

While aloe acts as a humectant locking water into your skin, it simultaneously delivers a wide range of skin-essential nutrients that balance and heal. Note that we never use pure H2O as a base – aloe provides all the benefits of water, but doesn't dilute or ‘bulk up’ the formula in a misleading way that compromises the potency of our formulas.

Seaberry moisturizer is designed to enhance and enrich your skin’s lipid and hydration levels simultaneously, and the formula relies on a number of moisturizers to do so. Shining in this role are grapeseed oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. These three lipids work together to repair and strengthen your dermal moisture barrier (the essential protective layer between your skin and the environment).

Super high in Omega 6 fatty acids, grapeseed oil is an ultra effective moisturizer that fights inflammation and gives your skin a hefty dose of Vitamin E. And why do we need vitamin E? Because it’s a skin-softening antioxidant that protects against external stressors that lead to acne and aging. At the cellular level, vitamin E lives in and protects cell membranes, forming a barrier which keeps skin cells healthy and hydrated. In short? More vitamin E equals happier skin cells.

Shea butter works alongside grapeseed oil as a seriously rich moisturizing plant derivative. It’s an anti-inflammatory and healing ingredient that works especially hard to address chapping and flaking, and contains fatty acids and vitamin K for increased wound healing and skin repair.

The third main moisturizer starring in the Seaberry Moisturizer formula is coconut oil, an absolute essential when it comes to plant based skin care. Coconut oil possesses antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, making it an ideal moisturizer for sensitive and acneic skin. Plus it contains lauric and caprylic acid, two key components of your skin’s moisture barrier.

Part of what makes our Seaberry Moisturizer such a crowd fave is that it’s a preventative product. When used regularly it can help to minimize free radical damage and circumvent future clinical dryness, by enabling your skin to work to its best ability to heal itself. This can be chocked up to the rich source of antioxidants present in the ingredient list.

The primary antioxidant powerhouse in this formula is definitely Hippophae Rhamnoides ( sea buckthorn or seaberry), a mineral-packed berry that delivers ultra effective anti-aging properties and nutritional benefits. Sea Buckthorn is full of vitamin C, meaning that it bolsters skin’s collagen production, producing a firmer and denser complexion with less ‘sag’. Palmitoleic acid present in sea buckthorn also works to improve your skin’s elasticity and repair the functioning of its moisture barrier.

Working with the natural properties of seabuckthorn, the formula also benefits from antioxidants found naturally in grapeseed oil, coconut oil, Bergamot fruit oil, and Lavender oil.

The final components to the Seaberry Moisturizer ingredient list are several carefully selected essential oils. Each works within the formula to preserve and provide freshness, to add natural fragrance, and to endow the product with clarifying antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

Bergaptene Free bergamot oil provides powerful antibacterial and antiinflammatory properties. As an aromatherapy, it adds an energizing fragrance that increases circulation and clears congestion.

Cedarwood bark oil is an antiseptic and antifungal that effectively balances lipid production and treats flaking.

Vetiver root oil firms and tightens skin when applied topically, and penetrates deeply into the skin to restore moisture and to amp up the turnover of skin cells. This makes it especially effective when it comes to fading scars and stretch marks.

With daily AM and PM use, our silky smooth Seaberry Moisturizer is a product you can go to for consistently radiant skin with reduced pores, balanced lipids, and healthy texture. Clean beauty fans rest easy – with only plant chemistry to thank, there’s nothing chemically-synthesized or toxic hiding in the ingredient list.
